Bill King is a financeer who leant money to Mr. North to keep his circus going. When Mr. North's payroll employee is stabbed in the back, Rang-a-Tang, Detective Speed, and Richy the Amazing Boy comes in time to see the corpse.
Bill King is training a killer python to kill Hy Speed so he can return to the payroll office and steal the $20,000 that he was in the process of stealing before he was interrupted by the Crime-Busting Trio. He is again foiled when the python is killed by Rang-a-Tang and Detective Speed.
