HISTORY

Ruthless mobster Lefty Moran, is rescued by Lefty Moran's Gang from the gallows during a prisoner transport in a sheriff's car. Lefty shoots his gang member, Eddie. He has another gangster, Sam, put Lefty's watch on Eddie's wrist and light the car on fire with Eddie and the sheriff inside.

Paul Patton and Ruth Ransom come along to find the burning wreck. Realizing that the wristwatch is on the left hand, rather than the right as Moran wore his, Paul investigates as The Fox. He goes to the apartment of Lefty's girlfriend, Dolly Baker. Dolly tries to shoot The Fox while Moran gets away, but she fails. The Fox overtakes Lefty Moran by leaping into the killer's car.
