HISTORY
Paul Patton goes to a gambling ship to take photographs and meet Ace Poletti. Ace is thrown overboard by the steward, but Paul Patton sees the playboy fall into the ocean. Poletti dies, but Patton doesn't say anything about the matter to Judge Hurd or the judge's daughter, Phyllis Hurd.
When The Fox catches up to the judge, Hurd admits that he had Poletti killed. Hurd owed Ace a lot of money in gambling debts, and Poletti wanted to cash it in to marry Phyllis.
