Betty Doyle's horse, Northern Light, wins the horse race after Tom Rivers replaces his twin brother, Dick Rivers. Dick posed as Tom to drug Betty's horses and throw the races for Augie King.

Corrupt horse jockey Dick Rivers takes on the identity of his twin brother, Tom Rivers. Posing as Tom, Dick poisons Betty Doyle's horse, Star, at the behest of the gangster, Augie King. Chasing down the criminals, Hercules pretends to be overcome by Augie's men and is placed with Tom. Tom and Hercules overcome Augie's henchman, Stooge.
Tom and Hercules escape. Returning to the racetrack, Hercules outruns the horse Dick Rivers is racing and pulls Dick to the judges, explaining that Dick killed star. Hercules then captures Augie King, permitting Betty to have Tom run her other horse, Northern Light. Tom wins the race with Northern Light, much to the delight of Betty.
