Origin
Teenager Jason Troy received a magic amulet of a fly trapped in amber that let him transform into an adult with super powers (with a fly motif). These included increased agility, strength, wall clinging, and compound eyes. His suit also provided armor, wings, and 270 degree vision. The wings allowed him to fly or produce vibratory effects. He can change between Jason and the Fly at will, but the amulet is required to do so.
Publication History
The Fly was one of the heroes from Archie Comics Red Circle superheroes line, whose license was acquired by DC Comics in the 90s and reinterpreted for younger readers in the Impact Comics imprint, in their own separated universe. This version of the Fly was created by Len Strazewski and Mike Parobeck.
