Origin

Before the start of C-Day, when the Crossed Virus spread havoc across the globe, Beau Salt was known as the Phone Book Killer, as he used the phone book to select his victims. When the outbreak began, he was surprised to find himself infected, developing the crossed rash on his face, but otherwise unaffected by the virus. Salt considered the apocalypse a blessing but with how self-destructive the Crossed tend to be, he knew it wouldn’t last. Salt decided that intervention was needed to ensure the prolonged existence of the Crossed Virus, so he formed his own group and began breeding a new generation of Crossed that would be capable of prospering.
