Museum curator Eduardo Louis Dorado found an ancient map with some strangely marked gold coins in a small casket in the museum's warehouse. He followed the map to an ancient mayan city forgoteen by time and he was thorow to a deep well for its inhabitants.
In the darkness he founded the resting place of an alien suit of an armour of the Kinich Ahau. Donning the armour he became the Golden Idol, and swore the maya to allegiance, believen him to be their god of light, time, heat and the four directions than the universe have in its vast expanse.
The Golden Idol is the Big Bang comics analog to Iron Man.
