When Dr. Flane, the eminent electro-biologist dies under suspicious circumstances, his daughter Carol investigates his laboratory. She is struck by a bolt of electricity which throws her through the air, after which she discovers she has gained electrical powers when she electrocutes the cat by stroking it. A few weeks later she publicly proclaims in the newspaper the start of her crime-fighting career, as Electro Girl.
