Tommy Czuchra is the thirteen year old son of an archaeologist who died during an avalanche. Reborn as a powerful undead superhuman able to transform into Monolith, a giant rock creature with the inherent strength and invulnerability to go with.
When Tommy Czuchra died and his stone golem form was obliterated, another person, David Ridgeway, became the next Monolith. David was an insurance salesmen who went on a rock climbing trip with a co-worker. The co-worker who was rather competitive and also having an affair with David's Wife, set David up for a fall. David plummeted down the cliff side and it took rescue workers two days to dig him out. Some point after his burial, David awakens with a primordial scream, transforming himself into Monolith and crashes out of his grave.
