Arbeloa is the sole survivor of a belligerent species. His world was overrun and destroyed by the Yuuzhan Vong. After his world died, he joined forces with a group of refugees from Artoria.

Almost around 25 ABY, the extra-galactic Yuuzhan Vong invaded the galaxy. Prior to their attack on Artorias, they stopped by another planet belonging to a very war-loving species. The locals were heavily outnumbered and their greatest weapons were nothing in comparison to the Vong.
The Yuuzhan Vong killed all of them save one, Arbeloa. They found him so dangerous and decided to keep him. They transported him to their slave ship Tsam'pah. But Arbeloa had slipped a communicator with him. He broadcast a message to anyone who could hear him. He voiced his feelings and the dangers of the Yuuzhan Vong.
This data was later picked up by the explorers of a ship, Pythea, namely Panha and Sarkkin. They tried to forward this warning to Artorias, but it was intercepted by a Vong agent.
Later Arbeloa joined forces with Kaye Galfridian and helped defeat the Yuuzhan Vong inside the Tsam'pah .
