Leader of the last Battlestar of the Colonial Fleet, William Adama leads the remains of the Twelve Colonies through space towards Earth, the lost colony. He was promoted to Admiral Adama when after meeting up with the Battlestar Pegausus, which was later destroyed by the Cylons, Admiral Cain is killed by a Cylon prisoner. Adama is kept in check by president Roslin, second in commmand Colonel Saul Tigh, as well as his son Lee Adama, aka: Apollo, and favorite pilot Kara Thrace, aka: Starbuck. His call sign is Husker.
