After Dan's father died his mother and him returned east from Texas and he went to the Striker School of Journalism and founded his own newspaper called the Daily Sentinel. He would later have two sons named Jack and Britt Reid. Britt would go on to be the first Green Hornet. Dan would go on and live a long life but eventually died of a stroke at 75 years old.
