Dr. Barbara "Babs" Blight is a magnificently snarky mad scientist who, along with her computer life partner M.A.L., concocts devious but audacious schemes in the name of profiteering and a joyfully psychotic scientific mayhem. Though Captain Planet was the nominal hero in the series, fans often rooted for her instead.
