Walter Bishop graduated from Harvard and did his post grad at Oxford and MIT. In the '70s, he worked as a scientific reasearcher for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, in a classified U.S. Army experimental program called Kelvin Genetics, specializing in Fringe science. He had a lab in the basement of the Kresge Building at Harvard until an accidental fire killed his assistant. Walter Bishop from the B-Universe is an accomplished scientist, author, and Secretary of Defense. He wrote and published ZFT, which is a book about all of the strange happenings that occurred after the Zero Event at Reiden Lake in 1985. He is Peter Bishop's true father.
