A skilled and believable liar, Sate Pestage was in charge of manufacturing the false reports of Jedi corruption following Order 66 and the great Jedi Purge.
Sate continued his career in the Empire for many years, when Emperor Palpatine decided to use decoys, Sate was hand-picked by Palpatine to be surgically altered to be a double for Palpatine, Sate remarkebly survived this task.
After the death of Palpatine, the failed coix by Thrawn, and the death of the Clone Palpatine, Pestage was made leader of the remnant Galactic Empire.
Pestage however decided to defect to the New Republic, he was assassinated shortly after leaving the Empire.
