Linda was created by Sam Raimi for his 1981 horror movie, The Evil Dead.

When Ash is forced to go back to Knowby's Cabin to cut the teether the Deadites have to this realm and save Sheila's soul, he is confronted by a Deadite version of Linda. She blames him for her death and torture. Ash cuts off his ex-girlfriend's Deadite head and blows it up with a well placed shotgun blast.

This appears to be the end of Linda but as Ash and Sugarbaby are driving away a hand that looks like Linda's comes back to life and starts to rebuild the cabin.

In Death of Ash, Shelia reveals that Linda was a Deadite before she meet Ash, and she went to the Cabin with him as all part of the Deadite plans to torture and manipulate Ash into opening a great portal.
