Majenta's adventures with the tenth doctor are contained completely in Doctor Who Magazine, a first for the post 2005 series. She is the first companion of the tenth Doctor not to appear on television. She is also the first visibly alien companion of the post 2005 continuity. Her creation was brought about because of the gap year specials of the TV Show where the Doctor would appear companionless, a problem for the ongoing narrative of the comic.
