Renee is a New Slayer from Scotland, working closely with Xander, whom she had a crush on. Xander later admits to having feelings for Renee as well, and the two kiss.
Renee went with Xander to meet with Count Dracula, during which Count Dracula made racist comments towards her.
The leader of the Tokyo vampires, Toru, murders Renee with the Scythe.
Following her death Xander burns Renee's body and scatters the ashes.
Creation
The character of Renee was created for use in Dark Horse Comics, Her first appearance came in Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight #1, and her last appearance in which she died came in Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight: Wolves at the Gate.
