Romana, short for Romanadvoratrelundar, a Time Lady from the planet Gallifrey, she was a companion of The Doctor during his fourth incarnation.

The White Guardian assigned her to be the Doctor's companion during the "Key to Time" storyline, and afterwards she stayed on until "Warriors' Gate".

She has appeared in countless spin-off material, many of which show her as the president of the Time Lords.

Tom Baker and Lalla Ward appeared in a few 1980 Australian commercials for PR1ME Computers which ends with the Doctor proposing to Romana II.
