Creation

Right after Ultraman, Tsuburaya Productions introduced the second show of the "Ultraman" series titled "Ultraseven" in 1967. Ultraseven is the main character of the Sci-Fi TV series “Ultraseven”, he is also an alien giant from Nebula M78 same as Ultraman.

Origin

At a time when the Earth is facing threats of alien invaders from space, a giant came to Earth to offer help. He shapeshifts to a human form and hides his identity, names himself Dan Moroboshi, and joins the Earth defense force Ultra Guard. When monsters or aliens appear, he turns into his real form to help UG members fight them. No one in UG knows the identity of Dan, but they feel the giant is just like the seventh member of their team since he always came to help, thus the name "Ultraseven" was created.

Powers and Abilities

Ultraseven generally has similar power to Ultraman, he can lift thousands tons due to his large size, manipulate his size, fly, travel interstellar, and shoot deadly beams. Despite these base Ultra powers, Ultraseven has countless superpowers depending on plot convenience. Unlike Ultraman, Ultraseven constantly turns into human-size, with limited power but more flexibility to do rescue missions. Another difference is instead of finding a human host and merging with him, Ultraseven shapeshifts into a human form by himself.
