Creation
Originally created for the Japanese TV show Seijuu Sentai Gingaman in 1998 as a major antagonist, appearing in the first twelve episodes of the show known as Gun Boss Sambash. When the show was later adapted into Power Rangers Lost Galaxy, the character was drastically changed to suit a western audience, appearing as a minor antagonist in the latter half of the show.
Due to the U.S. laws about showing realistic guns on children's shows, none of the original footage from Seijuu Sentai Gingaman was used and the character changed from using guns to a sword in the new, original footage.
In Seijuu Sentai Gingaman, the character was voiced by Nobuyuki Hiyama and voiced by David Lodge in Power Rangers Lost Galaxy.
