Asia Minor
Asia Minor is a major drug trafficker in Bete Noire.
Origin
Hailing from Korea, Asia Minor is a major drug trafficker in Bete Noire. He has contacts and suppliers spread across several regions of the world and his business is doing well. In addition to selling, he also consumes a lot. He lives in a custom-made mausoleum, which he renovated for his comfort. Two security guards are present at all times to protect him. In order to vary his activities, he is also an editor. He is an old-fashioned man, who likes to read old romance novels.
Character Evolution
When Lee arrived in Bete Noire, her first contract was to protect a nun (Sister Mary Catherine) who was looking for an old religious relic. The sister had gotten herself into big trouble and Asia Minor with a few men had helped Lee out.
Lee was therefore indebted to her and Asia will call on her to monitor the delivery of a large shipment, on a dock. One of her rivals, Thomas Graymalkin, also wanted this cargo and Lee had to make sure he didn't get his hands on it. That evening, Lee was there and had to intervene to stop Graymalkin. When he saw Lee lifting a forklift, he realized he wouldn't stand a chance and gave up. In the end, Lee was just bait to lure Graymalkin to this location; the cargo was elsewhere, on a boat.
When he was younger, Asia lived for a few years in the corrupt city of Maristan in Africa. He had witnessed an invisible evil entity that was killing everyone and he was the only one to have seen it clearly, thanks to the fog induced by opium. This is the same entity present in Bete Noire and Slate, who was present at the same time in Maristan, will tell Lee about it so that she can ask Asia for help to eliminate it.
Lee shows up at his house again to ask him to help her and he accepts, in exchange for sex. Lee accepts the deal. He then drugs Lee to allow her to see the entity. It works but it seems to be able to act through Lee, temporarily. Lee will eventually kill the entity, when it has taken the form of a man.
A few days later, Lee calls on Asia Minor again to help her recover a relic in a mansion. Since he had participated in the mission with the nun, Lee found it important that he get involved again. He promises Lee that if she does not come out of the mansion, he will continue his mission and try to get his hands on this relic.
Months pass and in Minnesota, a woman named Tiffany Parish witnesses her father's suicide. He was a drug addict and she had found Asia Minor's name on a piece of paper near him. Wanting to put an end to the devastating effects of drugs on people, she went to Bete Noire in order to talk to Asia to make her aware of what it causes. Tiffany heard about the Fallen Angel and goes to the Furors so she can help her find Asia Minor. Lee agrees to try to convince Asia to meet the woman and leaves the Furors to go to his house. Tiffany followed Lee and introduces herself to Asia, by surprise. The woman has a gift that allows her to invade people's minds with what she wants them to see. She will show Asia everything that drugs can cause, hoping to have an impact. Lee will get her hands on the addresses of his suppliers and a few days later, they have all been killed. Defeated, Asia regularly gets drunk at Furors now that he's lost everything.
The Glory
Twenty years have passed, and Asia Minor is still operating in the drug world. He recently got his hands on a new drug called Glory, which gives users symptoms resembling the mythical traits of a vampire: eyes turning bright red, pale skin, an insatiable thirst for blood, and enhanced physical strength. After a man died from consuming too much Glory, Jude, the new Magistrate, orders his lawyer, Ernie Schultz, to gather a team and arrest Asia Minor for trafficking and possession. Jude wants to clean up his city.
However, Lee arrives at Asia Minor’s place before them because Dolf asked her to seek a remedy for Ezil, who was infected by someone under the influence of Glory. She opposes Asia’s arrest when he informs her that he might be able to develop an antidote. She helps him escape to the city’s border, but Schultz intercepts him before he can leave.

They bring Asia back to Jude, who interrogates him. Instead of answering his questions, Asia talks about the screams Jude hears in his head. He knows that Jude has been suffering from these unbearable voices ever since he became magistrate. Jude loses his patience and beats him before having him locked up.
Since Bete Noire doesn’t really have a justice system or lawyers, Jude calls for the townspeople to gather in one place to discuss Asia Minor’s fate. He is willing to hear everyone’s opinion and expects them to respect his final verdict. However, the voices in his head overwhelm him, and he collapses before the discussion even begins. Lee takes him home, where he later wakes up to find Asia by his side. Asia has given him a pill that silences all the voices in his head. He offers Jude as many pills as he wants in exchange for his freedom and the continuation of his operations without interference.
Dissatisfied with Jude's work as a magistrate, the hierarchy, through its new agent Gilles de Rais, will invoke ancient powers and recruit Jubal to regain control of the city. They can count on the presence of Wilde, Black Mariah's brother who had a vengeance to execute. But their greatest asset is the demon Moloch. Moloch has returned to Earth through the body of Jubal, looking to seize Jude's mantle as the magistrate of Bete Noire.
Lee, helped by Asia Minor and his men, has led a big strike force on Jude tower to stop them and save her son.
