Origin

Jennifer Drake is a nephilim born to Gwen who was visited by an angel when she was about to jump off of a building. Jennifer didn't know of this, and lived a normal life. She did have very vivid dreams from the times of King Arthur and Guinevere. Since she remembered those dreams well, she wrote them down and published them as books.

Major Story Arcs

Lady Pendragon volume 2

One night after having another dream and writing it down, Jennifer's home was invaded by a hooded man. While Jennifer managed to dispatch the man, she was still knocked out by a tranquilizer. When she woke up, she was brought to a sword in a stone and was asked to pull it out. Jennifer woke up at the Stonehenge, and immediately something magical happened, and Merlin appeared. Jennifer was worried about her dog Boomer, who Merlin summoned to her and then transformed him into a horse. Merlin then lead Jennifer to Westminster Abbey to meet a Templar, but they were met by Morgana and Mordred there. Jennifer attacked, but her emotions were out of control, which caused the sword Caliburn to cause an explosion. Merlin managed to teleport everyone to safety. The Templar who was given the name of Lancelot then gave Jennifer the garments of Lady Pendragon, the armor forged in Avalon. They are attacked again my Mordred, and Jennifer is impaled, but the magic of the armor heals her. The fight continues at the Tower of London, where Jennifer is given the Excalibur by Guinevere as Lady of the Lake. Jennifer uses the sword to defeat Mordred, which leads to Morgana's retreat.

Lady Pendragon volume 3

Since Jennifer Drake's pulling of the sword brought magic back to the world, it destroyed all technology. She and Merlin are gathering survivors and she fights occasional mythical creature. When resting, Jennifer was confronted by Priestess Iseult. Iseult used her tech to defeat Jennifer. Her victory didn't last long as the dragons attacked. During the fight Jennifer managed to free herself, and killed one dragon, made made every other dragon stop, as they recognized Caliburn's power. Red dragon Tiamat revealed that dragons are more than mere animals, and Jennifer linked with Tiamat's mind. Just as this treat had ended, They were attacked by the Black Knight wielding Draconis. Jennifer challenged the Black Knight to a duel, and she won.

Morgana has gathered an army of the dead and moved towards England. Jennifer, Merlin, Ishmael and Isis are preparing for a war. They plan on luring Morgana into a trap, but she doesn't take the bait. Jennifer then leads a direct assault on Morgana's forces, but is defeated and crucified by Morgana. Unexpected help came from Priestess Iseult, who used his future technology to disrupt Morgana's magic. Merlin gave the Excalibur to Iseult, as Morgana had taken up the Draconis. This was Merlin's plan all along, having three swords converge on that location, was needed for Guinevere to use the sword wielder's blood to activate the Holy Grail, so she could bear children again, and that was needed for the bloodline to lead to Jennifer Drake and Iseult in the future. Jennifer didn't like to be used like that, she tossed Caliburn aside and stepped away from the fight.

Later Jennifer Drake was approached by Savannah who told her about the future, and the religion surrounding Jennifer. The thought of people killing each other over her did not sit well with Jennifer, so she decided to visit the future to show that she is no deity. Just as they exited the gateway in the future, they were attacked by the lowlanders and taken prisoner. Jennifer is told conflicting stories on who attacked who, but she believes the lowlanders. She manages to convince them to let her go to speak with the Priestesses, so she could dismantle their belief system. When she arrives there, she is greeted by Iseult, who had escaped earlier, and now leads the 1st Kingdom. Iseult leads Jennifer to Gayna, Jennifer's daughter. Gayna told Jennifer about how she dies and comes back to life leading to her deitification.

Jennifer returned back to her time now unsure of her agency in her fate. She was soon captured by Charon and brought to the underworld before Hades. Jennifer was only captured to act as a lure to Merlin, who is Hades' son. After a intense battle, Merlin and Hades manage to solve their differences, and Jennifer is allowed safe passage back to Earth.

Pilot Season

A decade has passed since Jennifer first pulled the sword. Jennifer has relinquished Caliburn to the Lady of the Lake as she no longer is pure of heart to wield it. A new word order has settled, and magic usage is outlawed, making Jennifer public enemy. Her encampment is attacked by Regional Governor Chang. Jennifer Drake now using the Excalibur fights Chang's army, and wins.
