The Murder Magician came across a duplicate Rumor created when she lied about going to the library. He succeeded in killing the duplicate and took video footage. Later, he was invited to be a guest on a TV show, and given a large monetary prize. He spent the prize on a 'Murderbot', which killed much of the studio audience. The Umbrella Academy showed up, destroyed his Muderbot, killed his Assistant, and stopped the Murder Magician.
Reginald Hargreeves revealed that he tipped the Murder Magician off to the Rumor duplicate's whereabouts.
