Origin

When Sofia was young she was forced to marry Villem Valk. He was abusive man but when he got sick Sofia sat by and took care of him like a dutiful wife, but when he died Sofia didn't shed any tears.

Days later Villem rose from the dead as a blood thirsty zombie. Sofia fled her small village. She was chased by the monster her husband had become, but lucky for her she ran across Lord Henry Baltimore, Harish, Thomas Childress and Quigley.

They protected her and after she helped them defeat the Witch of Harju, the group excepted her as one of their own, and she joined then on their quest to stop the evil that has overtaken the countryside.

Creation

Sofia was created by Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden for their series about Lord Baltimore. She first appeared in Baltimore: The Witch of Harju and continued to be a reoccurring character through out the Baltimore series.

Later she got her own Lady Baltimore series set in the Outerverse.
