He was never given a name other than Speedboy. He was a paperboy at the TV studio where the Fighting American worked and was so trustworthy that he made him his sidekick. Other than being plucky and spunky, he had no special skills or talents. He later appeared to die during the war but came back years later as a deadly assassin, similar to the same character that inspired his creation, Bucky Barnes.
