Lovecraft and is basically an amalgam of all of Lovecraft's professorial characters. Upon encountering an alien being that crawls upon his head and affixes itself there Professor Wilcox transforms into The Hammer the chosen warrior called to combat all the Lovecrafty baddies roaming throughout the world.
