A former ad man for a car company, he lost his job at the start of the series. He is then hired by his friend Bobby Kennedy to work with the managers of the Civil Defense Corps, a secret subdivision of the FDAA, where superheroes are propaganda and their fights against aliens, demons and supervillians are fakes. His new job poses ethical dilemmas for him from day 1, not the least of which being all the secrecy and lies it entails.
