Orium is a elite member of the god-like race of beings known as the First. Orium helped to lead a revolt against Altwaal, leader of the First, and eventually became the leader of House Sinister. Orium was driven insane after Altwaal gave him the gift of true sight. Because of his insanity, Ingra defeated him and took over House Sinsiter.

Orium is not actually mad but that is what he wants people to think. He has the power over water which can harm the First.
