Alfred Stryker is one of four business partners in a  chemical company. The other four partners are called Steven Crane, Paul Rogers and Lambert. When Lambert is murdered the chief suspect is his son, but Bruce Wayne is not so sure.  
Not long after the death of Lambert, Steven Crane is found dead. Paul Rogers fears for the safety of himself and his business partner Stryker so he tracks Stryker down. Stryker admits that he is behind the murders all along, and kidnaps Paul Rogers.
 Batman tacks down Stryker and confronts him. During the confrontation Stryker falls into a vat of his own acid.
