During the time Phantom-One was sending his assassins after Ghost-Maker's old mentors, The Knight and Wingman were sent to protect Avery, who didn't trust either hero. Spiking their drinks, although Knight not drinking hers was able to beat her in hand to hand combat. Fallen tried to murder Avery, but Knight saved Avery by keeping Fallen busy fighting. Avery was the sole survivor of these assassination attempts.
