Blaine Allen and his son live on the colony planet Petrus. In an attempt to stop the Allen Bloodline from continuing in the future, Cobalt Blue injected Jace, Allen's son with a virus. Without super speed Jace was unable to stop the virus from spreading inside of his body. In a last ditch effort Blaine took his son into the Speed Force in hopes that it would accept him. Instead, it takes Blaine and grants his son Jace super speed giving him the power to fight off the virus. In memory of his father Jace picks up the mantel as the Flash, and continues his families feud with Cobalt Blue.
