Origin

Created by Ed Stargard when he was a teenager, presumably in the traditional manner, Brutus was one of four elemental golems designed to aid in Stargard's fight against crime. At some point all other members of the Golems Four were destroyed, leaving only Brutus to guard their creator.

Creation

Brutus was created by Grant Morrison and Cameron Stewart. He made his first appearance in Seven Soldiers: Guardian #1.

Major Story Arcs

Seven Soldiers of Victory

Brutus is among the tasks that are set by Stargard to test the mettle of Jake Jordan. He is defeated when Jordan wipes the writing on his head off. He continues to stand guard over Stargard after this incident. During the Sheeda invasion he joins Stargard in combatting the Sheeda. It is presumed he survives.

Powers and Abilities

Brutus is a golem made of clay. He is invulnerable and superhumanly strong. He is a capable unarmed fighter, primarily reliant on his strength as he lacks great mental capacity.

Weapons and Equipment

Brutus carries two large, heavy hammers which he wields as weapons.
