Byla-Voq is seeming trapped on Dark Star of the Fenn with the Fenn and the random scientists that have also become trapped there due to the Gravity Well keeping them trapped on the mysterious rock. When John Stewart arrives on the Dark Star, he learns that Byla created the Gravity Well to keep Olgrun trapped outside our universe.
It is revealed a long time ago, Byla and the other Old Gods Olgrun and his daughter Ajna went mad and planned on destroying the universe.
John Stewart is able to use the Darkstar Ring to stop the Revenant Queen and Olgrun and trap them again without the need of the Gravity Well. This frees everyone trapped on the Dark Star.
Note- It is never clear if Byla was trapped on the Dark Star or if he was just there to help John Stewart become the Builder and defeat Olgrun.
