History
Sujatmi Sunowaparti was raised in a big family on an Indonesian island called Java. The Javanese political elite controlled the island and suppressed local culture, which Sujatmi opposed adamantly. She worked under dangerous conditions in a refining factory, to provide money for her family, when she was caught in a battle between fighting factions in Borneo. It was here that she was exposed to a radioactive isotope that kick-started her metagene.
Cascade was one of the people introduced by the Martian Manhunter to Owl Woman when the Global Guardians were decimated. Cascade was one of the newer members meant to swell the ranks of the team, but have not been shown in comics except through cameos.
She is not a member of the current line-up of the Global Guardians.
Powers
Cascade has the power to transform all or any part of her body into water. She can also mentally manipulate huge bodies of water, forming them into various, simple shapes.
