Pre-Flashpoint, Catherine was married to Willis Todd and was the stepmother of Jason Todd, who believed that she was his biological mother. Willis Todd was later murdered and she died, leaving Jason Todd an orphan. After being benched as Robin by Batman, Jason Todd returned to Crime Alley and met Mrs. Walker who had a box of belongings from Catherine Todd. Jason found his birth certificate and discovered Catherine's name was not on his birth certificate, but the only visible letter of his biological mother's name was an S. Jason found his father's address book with three names that began with S and used the Batcomputer to search for these women: Sharmin Rosen, Shiva Woosan and Doctor Sheila Haywood.

Post-Flashpoint, Catherine is now Jason's biological mother. She apparently died of a drug overdose while her husband Willis was incarcerated, leaving Jason an orphan. Later Jason (then the second Robin) discovered that she was not actually dead and went to find her, but she led him into a trap set by the Joker, resulting in Jason's death.
