Gilgamesh Bonner is the main protagonist of the Jim Starlin saga Gilgamesh II. Aa it name implies, Gilgamesh II is a retold of the epic poem of Gilgamesh as a science fiction story.

Story

Gilgamesh Bonner is the survivor of an alien species in the bring of extincion who was send to earth with the hope to start his race again. Adopted by a couple of middle class hippies, Gilgamesh grew up to become the leader of the world, uniting all the countries under a goverment ruled by transnationals corporations.

However everything would change when Gilgamesh discovered he was not the last survivor of his species.
