Weng Chan was a member of the Blackhawks second incarnation by Howard Chaykin. He was a pilot for the 'Hawks, as well as a mechanic and cook. He was chair of the company for some time.

The son of a wealthy Hong Kong restaurateur he moved with his family to San Francisco in 1932. Though his family's wealth entitled him to more than one Ivy League college, he was eventually kicked out of each school he went to.  
While in Europe during the early days of World War II, Weng got excitedly caught up in the Blackhawks' cause. He became a pilot, flight mechanic and cook for the team.
After the war ended he returned to California and having been disowned by his father he entered Pacifica University. While there he further learned about aeronautical engineering.

Weng returned to the Blackhawks in 1947 as the Chief Flight Mechanic of Blackhawk Airways.  
He was the Chairman of the Board of Blackhawk Express which was the current version of the Blackhawk International Airways and resides in New York.
