Origin

Kathy Viverrida was doing research on carnivores in the Thailand jungles near the border of Myanmar, but was warned by the guide not to venture into a certain part of it, as people have disappeared there. Kathy ignored the warning and proceeded alone. She witnessed a battle between a giant cat-like creature and some magic wielders. Kathy got caught in the magic explosion, but survived. Kathy was found by Power Girl who was looking for her son there, but they are intercepted by Scarabus. Scarabus turned Kathy into Civet and compelled her to fight Power Girl so he could continue his mission uninterrupted. Civet was pulled off of Power Girl by Crimson Fox Constance D'Aramis. While Civet and Crimson Fox fought, Power Girl recovered and knocked Civet out with a surprise left-hook. When Civet came to, she saw the forest burning. Her love for the forest and animals overrode her orders to kill. Crimson Fox used that and promised to help her save the forest if she joins them in a fight against Scarabus, which Civet did, but she was knocked out quick again.

Major Story Arcs

After Scarabus was defeated, Civet was taken in by the Justice League. Kathy observed how Constance lost control of her animal side and attacked Metamorpho. Kathy tackled the Crimson Fox, and appealed to her human side. Kathy also recognized the turmoil in Metamorpho, and reminded him of his son. Civet tried to convince Constance to stay with the team, but was unable to do so. When a purge happened at the Justice League's Refuge, Civet rescued Yazz and others, but she eventually took shelter under a table when she lost her connection to the forest. Civet like other member of the Justice League was captured by Flicker to be sold for intergalactic slave trade. They all managed to escape their bonds, and defeat Flicker before that. After returning to Earth, Civet was last seen back in Thailand running with some felines in the jungles.
