Crystal was once the wife of Arthur Brown, also known as the Cluemaster. Together they had a daughter named Stephanie. Although her marriage didn't last, she gained custody of Stephanie and they live together in Gotham while Stephanie goes to Gotham University. She is aware of Stephanie's previous exploits as the Spoiler, but currently does not know of her daughter's actions as Batgirl.
Crystal works as a doctor at West Mercy Hospital in the emergency room.
