Major Story Arcs
The Trench
Deputy Wilson traveled to Curry Lighthouse to ask Aquaman and Mera for help after Beachrock was attacked by the Trench. Wilson claimed to be the sheriff, seeking their aid. They agree to help, but when they get to the crime scene the real sheriff tells them that Wilson is the deputy. The Trench attack again and once again leave with some humans. Aquaman then opens one of the cocoons made by the Trench. Deputy Wilson identifies the dog inside as "Janet Reed's dog". Aquaman and Mera then travel into Mariana Trench to locate the missing people. They manage to defeat the Trench and rescue a large number of the people. Janet Reed was one of the few that didn't make it, so Deputy Wilson returned to the lighthouse to thank Aquaman and Mera and to ask them if they would like to look after the dog who now has no owner. When they accept, he suggests they call it Aquadog.
