Ellen Carter is the mother of Michelle Carter (Goldstar). And, Micheal Carter a promising young football player who would later become Booster Gold. Her husband was addicted to gambling and after he lost all the families money he left. This was a real discomfort for the family when her son was kicked out of college football for gambling. This sent her son out of their home and he would later go back to the past and become Booster Gold. Booster would come back to the future only to find out his mother Ellen had died after he left home.

When Superman, Booster Gold and Skeets accidently travel to the 25th century, Michael, with the urging of Superman, visits his mother. She is so happy to see her missing son and gives him a huge hug. Superman then tells Mrs. Carter all the good things her son has done and how is the greatest superhero no one knows about.
