Ernestine Edgars was created by Dan Didio, Justin Jordan, and Kenneth Rocafort as part of the New Age of Heroes initiative, first appearing in Sideways #1 (2018). She is best friends with Dereck James, and the first person to know his true identity, as well as being the person who designed and made his Sideway's costume.
