Granack is the leader of a clann of scavengers and contraband pirates that reside in the outer territory of space sector 0563, a barren world unworthy of a name. He and his clann once belonged to a larger group that has apparently died off from unknown causes. Until Prixiam Nol-Anj arrived, Granack's clann survived off of the land and an old cache of food.

The Prixiam

Granack and his clann are patroling their borders when Prixiam Nol-Anj, at first mistaken for a raider ship, lands. Granack immediately recognizes her and explains that the last time anyone saw Nol-Anj was when 'your braids were still short and mine grayer,' and ordered his men to show some respect. The relationship between Granack and Nol-Anj seems to be a close one, as she notes that she and Granack have always trusted one another. Also, when Nol-Anj's ring malfunctions during Hal Jordan's attack, Granack's first instinct is to "Protect the Prixiam."
