Origin

Little is know about Gregory Garrison before Carl Ferris hired him to work at Ferris Air, other then he doesn't like Tom Kalmaku nor Hal Jordan. He most likely was brought into the company to cut cost, because he is mostly seen getting mad at Tom for running too many costly inspections on the experimental jet.

Creation

Gregory Garrison was created by Marv Wolfman and Joe Staton for their run on Green Lantern.

When Carol Ferris comes looking for Tom Kalmaku, she finds him arguing with Gregory about how Tom is taking too much time to work on the new experimental jet. Carol tries to tell them to play nice but Gregory doesn't have time to listen to her and storms off, only later learning that Tom was right about the jet.

Later, Tom tries to smooth over his relationship with Gregory, noting that Gregory is the boss, but when Gregory tries to talk about the job, Tom is called away by Green Lantern. This doesn't go over well with Gregory who threatens to fire Tom.
