Greyshirt is a comic book character in Alan Moore's Tomorrow Stories. The character was co-created by Moore and Rick Veitch. The character is a pastiche of Will Eisner's The Spirit.

Origin
Frank Lafayette was known as Lil Franky when he was a kid. He was the son of Lips Lafayette. As a kid his mother was the girlfriend of the mob boss Carmine Cabone. As such his life was leading to a life of crime. He and his best friend Johnny Apollo even stated their own gang known as the Johnny Apollo Gang. He eventually became the superhero Greyshirt.
