Origin

The Human Cannonball is Ryan Chase, a would-be superhero who grew up in the circus. Wearing an advanced flight pack of his own design enables him to fly - he uses this to crash head-on into his enemies. He wears a globular black helmet to protect his head in collisions.

Growing up in the circus where he learned acrobatics from his parents Ryan Chase was always fascinated by the performers who shot themselves out of cannons.

When he grew up he designed a pack that let him fly and a helmet that let him take high impacts to the head without harm and decided to become a superhero.

At first arrogant to the point of even asking for money from the people he saved, Chase eventually mellowed and became an asset to Superman and Lois Lane.
