Born out of wedlock to her teenage mother, Myra Connelly, Jackie Connelly was given up to an orphanage for children with special needs at a young age.
Creation
Jackie was created by Dennis O'Neil and Denys Cowan. She made her first appearance in The Question #3.
Major Story Arcs
The Question
Jackie is used as blackmail to force her mother to marry Mayor Fermin. Later, she is kidnapped and drugged by Reverend Hatch, who attempts to sacrifice her. He is stopped by the Question, and Jackie is returned to live in the orphanage. During a day trip with her mother she and Myra are attacked by Cathy Fregosi, but saved by Harold. When Question leaves Hub City as it descends into chaos, Jackie is sent with him to seek a safer life.
Gomorrah Homecoming
Taken to Brazil by the Question, Jackie soon falls ill. The Question returns her to Hub City, where her mother brings her to the hospital. Despite the best efforts of the doctors, she dies in the hospital.
