Origin

Tenji is the son of the Bronze Tiger and Lady Shiva. Making Cassandra Cain his half sister. He grew up in Whitefish, Montana. He lived on the Dragon Ranch with his father and Richard Dragon, isolated from the rest of the world. Together they trained him to fight. Lady Shiva would visit him each year on his birthday and test his skills. His father always told Tenji that him and his mother were heroes, shielding Tenji from their true past. Bronze Tiger was very overprotective of Tenji because he knew he and Lady Shiva had many enemies.

Creation

He was created by Tate Brombal and Takeshi Miyazawa for the Batgirl(2024) ongoing series.

Major Story Arcs

Batgirl

Before Lady Shiva died, she told Cassandra to ask Benjamin Turner about the Jade Tiger. So she hunted him down and did just that. He avoided the question and pretended Lady Shiva had just sent her on a fools errand. Cassandra knew he was lying, she started to fight him and call him out. He avoided her attacks instead of fighting back. When she kicked him in the head and made him fall to the ground, Jade Tiger tackled her. When he proceed to talk about his father being innocent, Batgirl told Bronze Tiger that Tenji knew nothing about the actual him. That was the last straw for Tenji and they broke out into a fight. While fighting she asked him how he knew Lady Shiva. When Batgirl had him pinned down, she asked him how he knew her mother. Tenji then said her name, asking if it was really her. He then introduced himself and said he had been waiting a long time to meet her. He told her that he was her brother. Batgirl was refusing to believe it when Norbu the untested showed up. Batgirl was planning on fighting him on her own but when Tenji found out Norbu's people killed his mom,he jumped in. Tenji got injured after the fight. While he was resting, Ben told Batgirl he lied to Tenji to protect him and cause he didn't want him to turn out like her. Tenji then said he wanted to join Lady Shiva one day as a great hero too. And how he looked up to Cassandra too when his father told him about her. He looked forward to the birthday for when he'd be ready, but know he'd never know. He told Cassandra that their mom had sent her to him for a reason. Although Cassandra didn’t want him he refused to loose her. After a fight with Norbu and then Wu Bing, Jaya Jayesh showed up with an invitation from the League of Shadows. Cassandra accepted and Bronze Tiger said Jade Tiger would join her. He then gave Jade Tiger, Jade Claws. And with that Jade Tiger, Cassandra, and Jaya set out for the League of Shadow’s Haven.

Powers and Abilities

He is a very skilled fighter, since he was trained by the world's best fighters. However he doesn't have much experience fighting actual enemies yet.
