Jane was an pretty but insanely lustful ape. She was the apparent inspiration for Jane from Tarzan. But unlike the human version there was nothing virtuous about the ape Jane, as she constantly hit on Jack and tried to persuade him to be her lover. While he claims nothing happen, something might have. But to what extent is not said and probably no one wants to know.
